Position: Executive Director

Summary

Lake Roosevelt Community Health Centers provide responsive, high quality health care services that meet the needs of all users in a non-discriminatory, confidential, compassionate and professional atmosphere. Distinguishing Career Features

The Executive Director (ED) is responsible for developing a culture that emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and performance with a shared vision for the future. To achieve this, the ED will emphasize employee retention and engagement. They will direct and implement the agency’s mission statement and strategic plan to achieve agreed-upon strategic and financial goals. They will continually develop and update organization design, management, and processes for maximum productivity, efficiency, and cost effectiveness with an emphasis on achieving economies of scale. The ED will ensure that the clinics are in compliance with regulatory agencies, governing health care delivery, and the rules and regulations of accrediting bodies. The ED will serve as a mentor to staff and ensure professional growth and development for all employees. The individual will provide specific supervisory to the members of the Management Team including the OM, CFO and directors of the medical, dental, pharmacy, physical therapy and behavioral health departments. The position will require specific features, such as:

  • Able to analyze and apply effective conflict resolution skills.
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, and outside entities including the public.
  • Excellent managerial and financial skills and the ability to provide leadership within any business operations area.

Duties/ Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the Board of Directors and other executives to establish short-term objectives and long-range goals and related plans and policies.
  • Reports to the Board of Directors, maintaining open communication and disclosure of the conditions, operations, and needs of the organization.
  • Oversees the organization’s financial structure, ensuring adequate and sound funding for the mission and goals of the company.
  • Oversees the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Review the financial results of all operations, comparing them with the company’s objectives and taking appropriate measures to correct unsatisfactory performance and results.
  • Ensure the agency’s compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards, including those of the Colville Confederated Tribes (CCT) and the Indian Health Services (IHS), HRSA, Washington State and the federal government.
  • Responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, accessible healthcare services.
  • Negotiates with professional service providers, and other companies to ensure quality service at a fair cost.
  • Serve as the company’s representative to the Board of Directors, clients, employees, the federal, state and tribal governments, and the public.
  • Perform other related duties to benefit the mission of the organization.

Education, Licenses, Certification and Experience

  • Education may vary. However, an advanced degree in business administration, finance, healthcare management or law is preferred.
  • Familiarity with industry specific regulations, trends and best practices.
  • Extensive proven professional experience (minimum of 10 years) in senior leadership roles.

A valid Washington State driver's license is required and must be eligible for the Colville Tribes vehicle insurance and maintained throughout employment. Some travel will be required.

Basic Life Support, HIPAA and Privacy Act training certification is required within 90 days of hire.

A background check will be required with clearance maintained throughout employment.

Tribal member and Indian and veteran preference will apply.

Working Conditions

LRCHC has ADA compliant facilities. The position requires the ability to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time. May require lifting of 15 50 lbs.

LRCHC also offers prorated vacation and sick leave available 90 days after hire.
