Accounting Associate
Company seeks is looking to hire an Accounting Associate. This is a hybrid position with 3 days a week in the NYC office. Work closely with a Sr Accountant and CFO.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of accounting experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Must have knowledge in QuickBooks Desktop
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
- Handle accounts payable for different entities and vendors
- Process transactions which include account maintenance, booking of entries and reconciling of accounts
- Compare invoices with contracts for prices and terms
- Process payments for due invoices in a timely manner
- Maintain the Vendor Management file
- Assist with audits and the monthly close process
- Perform other accounting duties as needed and when requested
