About the Role

The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President Actuary to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of key actuarial functions, including, but not limited to, calculating reserves, providing essential financial reporting information, and conducting cash flow testing. This role demands an FSA with a substantial background in valuation and a strong familiarity with STAT and GAAP. A comprehensive understanding of various life insurance and annuity products is also essential, particularly whole life, term life, payout annuities, and deferred annuities.Applicants for the AVP Actuary position at the company should possess an FSA designation and have between 8 and 15 years of relevant experience. The role requires a professional who is adept at working within a team, has excellent communication skills, and can effectively manage and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the industry, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of their work. A background in life reinsurance is a plus, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment is essential.
