About the Role

The Company is in search of an experienced AVP Territory Manager with a focus on General Casualty. The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting a range of challenging and complex new and renewal submissions within the company's underwriting guidelines. This role requires the ability to make sound risk decisions that align with growth and profitability targets. The AVP Territory Manager will also be actively involved in marketing the company and the General Casualty Division, establishing and maintaining relationships with wholesale brokers, and driving the use of technology to enhance business processes. Additionally, the role involves negotiating terms and conditions, monitoring key performance metrics, and ensuring the team's compliance with underwriting standards and state regulations.Candidates for this position should have a minimum of five years of underwriting experience in General Casualty lines, with a strong technical knowledge of exposures and coverage. The role demands a professional with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, a keen attention to detail, and advanced problem-solving abilities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, though it is not mandatory, and may hold a CPCU designation or other industry coursework. The AVP Territory Manager will be expected to travel occasionally to promote the company's interests and must demonstrate a commitment to integrity, customer service, and the ability to mentor and train a team of underwriters.
