About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chair for its Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Dental Public Health. The successful candidate will be a dedicated leader with a strong background in education, patient care, community service, and research. Responsibilities include directing the department in its various missions, participating in the intramural pediatric dentistry Dental Faculty Practice, and maintaining a strong presence in both clinical excellence and scholarly activities. The ideal candidate will have a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD), or equivalent degree, at least five years of academic experience, and be board-certified in pediatric dentistry or hold an equivalent certification. Additionally, the candidate should have a proven track record in leadership, excellent communication skills, and be eligible for dental licensure in the state or hold an NC Instructor's License.Candidates with advanced training in public health, experience in community settings, and familiarity with CODA accreditation are preferred. The role at the company is a dynamic one, offering the opportunity to work with a diverse and passionate team of oral health professionals and to contribute to the department's educational programs, community rotations, and research initiatives. The Chair will also be responsible for maintaining the department's high standards and its international reputation.
