About the Role

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of successful fundraising experience, strong financial management knowledge, and a demonstrated commitment to social, racial, and economic justice.Candidates for the Chief Development Officer position at The Company should have significant experience managing large teams, a proven track record of raising substantial annual funds, and expertise in foundation fundraising, major gifts, and low-dollar individual fundraising. The role requires strong writing and editing skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize, and experience working with senior management and Boards. A deep understanding of the challenges facing marginalized communities and a commitment to equity and justice is essential. The CDO will be expected to travel occasionally and will be responsible for the performance and growth of the Development Department staff, ensuring the organization's fundraising goals are met, and that it operates with a positive net operating income.
