About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its Children's Hospital, a Comprehensive Regional Pediatric Center known for providing high-quality care and a full range of pediatric subspecialty services. The successful candidate will be a compassionate, operationally savvy, and inspirational leader with a minimum of ten years of Children's hospital departmental leadership experience in the acute healthcare setting. The CEO will be responsible for the overall executive leadership of the hospital, driving alignment of all providers with the hospital's goals, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care, physician and patient satisfaction, and employee engagement. This role requires a leader with exceptional operational and financial acumen, a strategic orientation, and a hands-on visible approach to staff management.As the academic medical center is closely affiliated with the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center, the CEO will also be tasked with maintaining effective relationships with the university and Chair of Pediatrics to support cutting-edge research, innovative clinical practices, and the hospital's role as a primary pediatric teaching center. The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in business or a healthcare-related discipline, exceptional physician relations skills, and a proven ability to develop and implement strategies that ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective healthcare. The role demands a leader who can set clear strategies and performance benchmarks, and who will partner closely with the senior management team, physicians, and the university to continue the hospital's legacy as a regional leader in pediatric care.
