About the Role
The Company is seeking a CFO to oversee all financial planning, accounting, and financial services. The successful candidate will serve as the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer to the Board of Trustees, providing leadership and guidance on investment strategies and management of college assets. This role involves developing long-range investment and spending strategies, advising on major financial decisions, and ensuring the institution's financial practices align with its strategic plan. The Vice President of Finance/ CFO will also be responsible for financial forecasting, risk management, and leading all financial operations at the college.Applicants must have a Master's degree in accounting or finance, with a Doctorate degree preferred, and a minimum of five years of previous public accounting or accounting management experience. Supervisory experience is required, and experience in Higher Education is preferred. The role demands a high level of proficiency in general accounting principles, payroll accounting, and automated systems, as well as strong problem-solving, leadership, and interpersonal skills. The ability to work with multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment and to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders is essential. Proficiency in Spanish or French is also preferred.
