About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer & Vice President of Administration to play a pivotal role in advancing its mission of promoting a just, equitable, and sustainable society. The CFO will be responsible for leading and managing the Foundation's operational and administrative areas, including accounting and finance, facilities, grants administration, and information technology. This executive will provide financial leadership to the President & CEO, the Board, and the Foundation Leadership Team, and will also serve as the Resident Agent and primary liaison with legal, regulatory, and governmental bodies. The role involves overseeing long-term budgetary planning, ensuring compliance with IRS rules and regulations, and participating in policy formulation. The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of progressive financial management experience, including international exposure, and a proven track record of strategic financial leadership, risk management, and fostering a culture of ethics, integrity, and professionalism.Candidates for this position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a preference for a Master's degree and a CPA. The role requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, a balance of hands-on operational finance management and strategic financial leadership, and a consistent record of attracting, developing, and retaining high-performing talent. Experience in a foundation or public charity is highly valued. The CFO will be expected to engage with diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts and demonstrate a deep commitment to the Foundation's mission. Responsibilities also include managing the Foundation's facilities, overseeing financial statements, forecasting, cash flow management, and risk assessment, as well as serving as the Secretary of the Board and chairing committees as needed.
