About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic oversight of all financial and business affairs. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the district's financial services activities, ensuring compliance with legal and management practices, and serving as the chief financial and budget advisor to the superintendent and board of trustees. Key duties include the development and monitoring of the district budget, maintaining the investment portfolio, and overseeing the management of all district funds. The CFO will also be tasked with implementing and maintaining internal control procedures, preparing financial reports, and ensuring that the district meets all state and local financial requirements.Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field, with a CPA or MBA preferred. A minimum of 5 years of administrative or management experience, including 5 years with supervisory responsibility in finance or accounting, is required. The role demands advanced knowledge of school finance, budgeting, accounting systems, and economics, as well as the ability to manage a budget and personnel and implement policies and procedures. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to resolve conflicts and respond to concerns appropriately. The CFO will also be responsible for personal management, including the selection, training, and supervision of department staff.
