Reports to: Operations Supervisor & Director of Truckload Operations

Location: Little Rock, AR

Department: Operations

Job Type: Full-Time/Hourly (Non-Exempt)

Salary Range: $22.00 - $26.00/hour (based on experience)

Position Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Overtime when required.

Job Overview:

The Customer Service Representative provides an exceptional level of service to our current and prospective customers. This position acts as a liaison for general coordination of loads between U.S. offices for specific assigned customers.

This is a 100% on-site (non-remote) position in Little Rock, AR.

Limited travel may occasionally be necessary for this position.

Essential Functions:

· Complies with all procedures outlined in Company’s Policy Manuals, Department Standard Operating Procedures, FMCSA Regulations, DOT, and OSHA requirements.

· Creates orders in AS400.

· Accepts EDI orders.

· Understands rate agreements.

· Tracks shipments with daily update statuses as requested by customers via email.

· Negotiates rates and coordination of shipments.

· Maintains updated weekly reports to customers.

· Answers calls and emails in a timely manner.

· Communicates with customers of any load or seal discrepancies.

· Coordinates delivery and shipping appointments and rescheduling of loads.

· Provides support to customers as needed.

· Other duties as assigned by management.

· May be required to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.

· Works in accordance with Federal, State, and Local requirements.

· Constantly works vigilantly and safely.

· Effectively operates standard office equipment e.g., computer (software programs and email), telephone systems, calculators, and copiers.

· Proficiently utilizes computer skills with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.

· Must be able to quickly learn and comprehend new software that may be used daily.

Qualifications

· High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.

· One year of previous experience in transportation is preferred but not required.

· Experience with AS400 is preferred but not required.

· Customer Service experience is preferred but not required.

· Must be detail oriented.

· Must have knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

· Must be able and willing to work with and develop a strong relationship with customers.
