About the Role

The Company is seeking a Dean for its College of Arts & Letters. The successful candidate will be a visible and valued campus leader, partnering with college and university leadership to promote academic excellence, scholarly activity, and to prepare students for successful careers and leadership in their chosen professions. As the Chief Academic and Executive Officer of the College, the Dean will be responsible for internal management, including the recruitment and retention of faculty, establishing partnerships to support faculty and student needs, and overseeing operations and budgeting. This role involves managing a significant annual budget and working closely with a large faculty and staff team.Candidates for the Dean position should have a strong academic background, with a terminal degree and a distinguished record of scholarship and teaching that merits a tenured appointment. The ideal candidate will have experience in academic leadership, strategic planning, and a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive academic community. The Dean will be expected to lead the institution in responding to community and workforce development priorities, so experience in these areas is also valuable.
