About the Role

The Company is seeking a Deputy Executive Director to join its team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the apprenticeship program, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing budgetary resources, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to assume the responsibilities of the Executive Director and must possess strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. Essential duties include strategic planning, financial management, staff supervision, and continuous improvement of the apprenticeship program. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in education, at least 5 years of management experience in nonprofit associations, and a background in adult career education.The Deputy Executive Director will be responsible for the leadership and governance of the apprenticeship program, including the development, implementation, and improvement of the program. They will also be involved in strategy and planning, financial operations, membership activities, staff management, and engagement, as well as communications, public relations, and strategic partnerships. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in budgetary skills, the ability to delegate effectively, and a strong understanding of the construction industry and apprenticeship programs. Personal qualities such as approachability, strategic thinking, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion are essential. The candidate should be a respected, ethical leader with a diplomatic yet decisive management style, and a team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
