About the Role

The Company is seeking a Director for its Housing Loan Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a strategy that aligns with the organization's impact and business goals, designing products to meet market needs, and leading the internal infrastructure necessary for scaling up housing lending. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of professional work experience, with at least 7 years in affordable housing finance or development, and proficiency in financial analysis. The Director will also be tasked with program leadership, including coordinating with market leaders and community engagement staff to identify opportunities for financing, and serving as the in-house expert for housing. Strong project management, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills are essential, as is the ability to build and maintain relationships with affordable housing stakeholders.The ideal candidate for the Director, Housing Loan Program position at the company will have a strong background in affordable housing finance, a strategic approach to problem-solving, and the ability to center the needs of clients and communities. They should be adept at building and maintaining relationships in the affordable housing sector and have a proven track record of deepening networks with relevant stakeholders. The role requires a commitment to the organization's mission, core values, and equity, as well as exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. The Director will be expected to lead the development of a loan pipeline, assess lending opportunities, and support the underwriting and portfolio management teams. A successful candidate will be a proactive, flexible, and innovative leader, dedicated to re-envisioning the community development finance industry and supporting the organization's goal of providing capital to organizations led by and serving Black, Indigenous, and people of color.
