About the Role

The Company is seeking a Director of Supply Chain to join their team. This remote position is ideal for a professional located in the Western USA. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and leading a team in the areas of purchasing and strategic sourcing, as well as overseeing all supply chain activities within the company's sites. This includes ensuring effective supply chain systems, processes, and practices are in place, leading supply chain transformation, and elevating supplier and team performance. The role also involves developing and executing supply chain strategies to reduce costs, improve supplier performance, and enhance the skill sets of team members. The Director will be expected to lead overall supply chain operations, recommend productivity and quality improvements, and coordinate issues related to new and existing products.Applicants for the Director of Supply Chain position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree being desired. A minimum of 8 years' of experience in supply chain management and at least 3 years' in a senior management role leading supply chain teams, preferably in an aerospace, automotive, or mechanical manufacturing environment, is required. The role demands a candidate with a strong background in AS9100 Quality Systems, MRP/ERP systems, and experience in a lean environment with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Certification in APICS and/or ISM is also necessary. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving transformational procurement strategies, engaging with suppliers to improve performance, and be adept at communicating business and functional objectives.
