Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Equity Sales Trader to join our team in New York City. As an Equity Sales Trader, you will be responsible for executing equity trades on behalf of our institutional clients, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, and providing insightful market commentary and analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Execute equity trades on behalf of institutional clients, ensuring timely and accurate order execution.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their investment objectives and providing tailored trading solutions.
- Provide market insights, analysis, and trade ideas to clients, helping them navigate the complexities of the equity markets.
- Collaborate with research analysts, sales teams, and other stakeholders to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
- Stay informed about market developments, industry trends, and regulatory changes that may impact trading activities.
- Monitor trade execution quality and efficiency, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
- Adhere to compliance and risk management policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
- Series 7 and 63 licenses required, with additional licenses such as Series 55 or 57 preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in equity sales trading, preferably at a reputable financial institution.
- Proven track record of executing equity trades for institutional clients and generating revenue.
- Strong understanding of equity markets, trading strategies, and market structure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
