About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Business Affairs in Psychiatry. This key leadership role involves overseeing the business office staff and operations, with a focus on strategic growth and management across the department's research, educational, and clinical missions. The successful candidate will be responsible for operational leadership, financial oversight, and ensuring the fiscal soundness and efficiency of the department, particularly in the clinical mission. They will work closely with the department chair and the leadership team, as well as with the administrative, financial, and clinical operations of the School of Medicine and the partner healthcare system. The role also includes enhancing mental health equity and requires a strong, sound departmental infrastructure to support the department's mission.Candidates for this position at the company should have a Master's degree in a business or related field, or equivalent experience, and at least ten years of managerial experience, including strategic business planning and financial management. Preferred qualifications include experience in an academic medical center or health system, strong leadership and management skills, and a commitment to diversity and inclusive excellence. The Executive Director will be expected to lead and manage the business office team, engage in strategic planning for departmental growth, and ensure compliance with regulatory and financial requirements.
