About the Role

The Executive Director, Commercial Supply Chain is a key leadership role with a focus on overseeing and integrating the global commercial supply chain organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the continuous supply of commercial products in all global markets, leading end-to-end value chain planning, and driving new product launches and life-cycle management. This position requires a strategic approach to supply chain management, including the development of transportation and warehousing strategies, leading the Sales and Operations Planning process, and performing in-depth analysis to evaluate and improve supply chain initiatives. The role also involves continuous improvement efforts, external collaboration with partners and alliances, and organizational leadership to mentor and develop the team.Candidates for this role should have a strong background in small molecule drug manufacturing, proficiency in supply chain and distribution management within FDA regulated environments, and experience in managing international Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs). The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with a focus on team development and a proven track record in organizational change management. A comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, and packaging, as well as expertise in strategic global supply chain management and supplier relationship management, is essential. The role requires a candidate with a biological sciences, MBA, or other relevant graduate degree, and a minimum of 20 years' of experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
