About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director, Global Safety TA Head to join their team. The successful candidate will be a key leader in the organization, serving as the safety expert for a specific therapeutic area and being accountable for the safety strategy and major safety deliverables for the global product portfolio within that area. This role involves leading safety teams, providing strategic oversight for regulatory safety responses, and ensuring compliance with worldwide safety regulations. The Executive Director will also be responsible for staff management, resource planning, and allocation, and will play a critical role in the establishment of a highly effective global safety organization.Candidates for this position should have an MD or DO degree, with a preference for those holding a PhD, and a strong background in clinical experience and product safety. Basic qualifications include a medical degree, at least 5 years of industry or academic research, and 6 years of managerial experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of effective leadership, issue and crisis management, and the ability to manage global, multifunctional teams. A deep understanding of international drug safety regulations, pharmacovigilance, and product safety processes is essential. The role requires a leader who can inspire, accelerate, integrate, and adapt, in line with the company's leadership attributes.
