About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Multilingual Services to lead and oversee the implementation of multilingual programs, ensuring equitable and rigorous learning environments for all students, particularly multilingual learners. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing priorities that center multilingualism, mobilizing constituents to support multilingual learners, and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This role involves partnering with colleagues to align curricula, resources, and professional learning with evidence-based practices for multilingual learners, as well as ensuring compliance with legal requirements, including the District's Consent Decree.Applicants must have at least five years of experience in educational leadership, a Bachelor's degree in education or a related field (Master's preferred), and a strong knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. The Executive Director will be expected to lead a high-performing team, manage the Seal of Biliteracy program, and oversee the direct support for schools in areas such as coaching, observation, and feedback. The role also includes designating the type of multilingual education programming for each school and managing family engagement for multilingual students. The ideal candidate will have superior leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills, and the ability to effectively lead a function, establish priorities, and organize resources to meet the needs of multilingual learners.
