About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Advancement for its School of Law. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic plan to increase private support for the school's programs, including scholarship initiatives. This role involves leading a small team and personally managing a portfolio of major gift prospects, from qualification to stewardship. The Executive Director will also be the primary liaison for all fundraising activities, ensuring effective communication of the school's mission and values. A strong background in fundraising, particularly in a higher education setting, is essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders, faculty, and volunteer partners.Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience in advancement or a related field, with a proven track record of successful fundraising and major gift solicitation. The role requires a candidate with excellent written and verbal communication skills, social and cultural awareness, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, alumni, and other stakeholders. A passion for the values of Catholic higher education and the ability to translate academic priorities into a compelling philanthropic vision is also key. While a Juris Doctorate is a desired qualification, it is not mandatory. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, detail-oriented, and collaborative leader with a high level of integrity and the ability to inspire others to achieve fundraising goals.
