About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Facilities Management to provide leadership and coordination of all facilities services operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, direction, and oversight of the department's operational and budgetary activities, as well as supporting college-wide security and safety operations. The Executive Director must have expert knowledge of facility management principles, practical experience with mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, and a proven track record in budgeting, funding, and grants within the facilities industry. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include overseeing the maintenance and compliance of all college facilities, implementing and maintaining asset management and preventive maintenance programs, and participating in strategic planning and goal setting for the institution's sustainability projects.This role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field, and a minimum of 8 years' of management experience in facilities services, construction, or a similar work environment. The role also involves developing and implementing job-specific policies, procedures, and operating practices, as well as coordinating with various departments and outside agencies. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to interact with public agencies and approval authorities. Additionally, the Executive Director will be expected to support the professional development of facilities staff and ensure essential training in relevant areas such as OSHA and hazardous materials.
