About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Research & Innovation Communications to lead a team of professionals in promoting the pioneering work of the institution. The successful candidate will be a creative and strategic leader, responsible for developing and implementing dynamic communications and marketing strategies that advance research, education, and outreach on a local, regional, national, and global scale. This role involves ensuring alignment with the company's messaging and communications priorities, enhancing its position as a top-tier research institution, and fostering interdisciplinary research. The Executive Director will also be instrumental in managing the communication of scholarly activities, securing academic reputation, and supporting the recruitment of a diverse and high-quality student, faculty, and staff body.Applicants for this position should have a Bachelor's degree with 7-10 years of experience, including at least five years leading a team of communications professionals. The ideal candidate will have a background in communications, public relations, marketing, or journalism, with a proven track record of success in these areas. Strong leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to build and lead high-performing teams. Experience in a research-intensive organization and a commitment to diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and well-being are also highly valued. The role requires exceptional abilities in writing, editing, design, and creativity, as well as the proven ability to utilize technology to meet communication goals.
