About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Greater Shenandoah Valley Chapter. This external-facing role is pivotal in maximizing the organization's presence and connectivity within the community. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting region-led mission capacity building, informing the regional leadership team of community needs, and strengthening relationships across all community elements. This includes serving as the primary liaison to the community, working alongside volunteers and employees to deliver mission fulfillment, and being a member of the region's leadership team. The Executive Director will also manage a portfolio of strategic relationships, including local elected officials and key community leaders, and will be expected to develop and implement fundraising strategies.Candidates for the Executive Director position should have a four-year college degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a Master's degree, and a minimum of 5 years' of related experience. The role requires strong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills, as well as the ability to work on a team. Proficiency in MS Office is essential, and the role may involve travel and work under challenging conditions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing change, be adept at exercising good judgment in complex situations, and have experience in leading and managing a team. A commitment to the mission of the organization and a passion for making a difference in the community are also key attributes.
