About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Medical Director for Clinical Development. The successful candidate will be the key figure for medical monitoring and oversight of designated clinical programs, from early-phase trials to full development. This role involves designing and executing clinical development strategies, ensuring the medical integrity of study reports, and leading medical aspects of operational strategies such as site selection and enrollment. The Executive Medical Director will also be responsible for authoring clinical and regulatory documents, representing the company at regulatory meetings, and providing medical expertise to both internal and external stakeholders.Applicants must have an MD (with a preference for ophthalmology training), PhD, DO, or foreign equivalent, and a minimum of 10 years' experience in the industry, with a focus on ophthalmology clinical development. Key responsibilities include medical leadership in clinical operations, data interpretation, and communication, as well as supporting business development and providing medical/clinical expertise to various customers. The role requires up to 20% travel and demands a high level of experience in the field to ensure the quality and integrity of clinical studies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ophthalmology and a proven track record in all aspects of clinical program management.
