About the Role
The Company is seeking a General Counsel to serve as the legal cornerstone of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of legal matters, including but not limited to decentralization, corporate issues, compliance, regulatory strategy, privacy, and employment. This role involves not only driving the legal strategy and ensuring compliance with global regulatory frameworks, particularly in the blockchain and privacy sectors but also leading internal educational initiatives to foster a deep understanding of the legal rationale behind business decisions. The General Counsel will be a key leader, working closely with the executive team and the CEO, and will be expected to have a proven track record in providing legal guidance across various business areas, with a focus on decentralization, tokenization, privacy, corporate law, and employment matters.Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should have a minimum of 8-10 years of post-JD legal experience, including at least 2 years in a similar role within the web3 industry. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in decentralization, privacy, and blockchain technologies, and have a strong background in managing corporate legal matters, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance. Essential qualifications include excellent communication and leadership skills, the ability to make strategic and ethical decisions, and a proactive, self-starting approach to legal management.
