About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Clinical Operations to join their pioneering team. This pivotal role involves leading the clinical operational strategy for a diverse range of therapeutic areas, ensuring compliance with global regulations, and driving the operational aspects of clinical trials from concept to regulatory submission. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and execution of clinical development plans, including protocol development, site selection, and the management of relationships with CROs and third-party vendors. As the first hire in Clinical Operations, there is a unique opportunity to create strategy, build a team, and operate in a highly visible capacity to shape the success of clinical trials.Applicants for the Head of Clinical Operations position at the company should have an advanced degree in life sciences or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of industry experience in clinical operations, particularly in support of early-stage programs. The role requires a solid understanding of US and global regulations, experience in selecting and managing CROs, and a proven track record of delivering clinical trial milestones on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships. Experience in hematology, rare diseases, or sickle cell disease, and the ability to influence clinical study design, are also highly valued.
