About the Role

The Company is seeking a Head of Legal with a strong background in renewable energy and a focus on execution matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support throughout tender processes, project acquisition, and the project execution phase. This includes collaborating with project and senior contract management teams to formulate contracting strategy, analyzing contract risks, and developing mitigation strategies. The role also involves tendering to contract award stages, identifying and qualifying subcontractors, and preparing or reviewing tender documents. The Head of Legal is expected to have a Bachelor's degree in Law, with at least 10 years' of legal counsel experience in a commercial or construction contracting environment, particularly within the specified industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in EPCI contracts associated with offshore construction and be familiar with project planning and scheduling techniques. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills are essential, as is the ability to demonstrate a sound knowledge of compliance matters. The role requires a detail-oriented legal professional with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results, the ability to effectively communicate with senior management, and to adapt to a fast-paced environment. A key expectation is the potential for promotion to Vice President Legal within 2 years, so the candidate should be ambitious and ready for a challenging, yet rewarding, opportunity.
