JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Head of Maritime Procurement negotiates, coordinates and monitors all the negotiations handled in Asia Pacific with our shipping line partners.

• Maintain and develop the relationship with our key partners (shipping lines)
• Bring and develop the relationship with new partners
• Determine allocation per route, shipping line, trade, accounts
• Work on the buying strategy with overall volumes
• Provide yield and volume analysis
• Forecast the needs in low and peak seasons

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in business administration / economics / Logistics / Supply Chain or related disciplines.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant overall industry experience, including at minimum of 3 years in a shipping line; preferably from a multinational working environment.
• With strong knowledge of the ocean freight industry, including procurement and capacity management knowledge for ocean freight; with Carrier background is a plus.
• Excellent network with carriers at local and top managerial level.
• Strong operation understanding and capability to manage changes and unexpected events.
• With an international mindset and exhibits great cross-cultural sensitivity.
