The Director of Human Resources is charged with cultivating top-notch talent in an engaging atmosphere that embodies the essence to fulfill the most discerning client expectations.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will have experience managing Human Resources in a hotel as well as experience that involves interacting with a full range of employees (hourly to managers).

The Minimum Qualifications for This Position Are:

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent
  • Preferred Professional HR designation and certification.
  • A minimum of five years’ experience within human resources, preferably in a generalist role
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations
  • Ability to consistently display courtesy, etiquette, warmth, and enthusiasm on the phone and in person.
  • Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities in a professional manner.
  • Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues
  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing skills.
  • Ability to handle complex issues encountered using knowledge acquired through training and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to gain the trust and confidence of managers and employees and influence the organization.
  • Ability to diagnose organizational issues and implement creative solutions.
  • Analytical skills with demonstrated ability to translate data to insight and then into action.
  • Strong computer skills including intermediate or above knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall leadership and guidance by overseeing talent acquisition, employee career development, succession planning, retention programs, training and leadership development.
  • Function as a strategic, human capital business advisor to the senior management team
  • Develop initiatives, policies, and programs to complement existing practices and create consistency across the organization.
  • Oversee benefit and compensation plans to ensure cost efficiencies and attractiveness to retain top talent.
  • Participate in the planning and promotion of associate engagement activities.
  • Foster a work environment where associates are given the opportunity to contribute to their full potential with cross training and development.
  • Assist with ensuring that internal communication is in alignment with company culture and guiding principles.
  • Assist to instill confidence and trust with leaders helping them grow as servant leaders and foster psychological safety with ongoing micro-learnings.
