Confidential is Hiring an Integrative Medicine Specialist Near Fort Worth, TX

Dallas - Fort Worth Oncology Group seeking an Oncology Integrative Medicine Specialist. The Oncology Integrative Medicine Specialist combines conventional medical practices with alternative and complementary therapies to provide holistic and patient-centered care in collaboration with practice physicians.

Responsibilities:

1. Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical history, lifestyle, and overall health to understand the root causes of health issues.

2. Treatment Planning: Develop personalized treatment plans that integrate conventional medicine with complementary therapies, such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, and mind-body techniques.

3. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and alternative medicine practitioners, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.

4. Education: Provide education to patients on lifestyle modifications, stress management, and other self-care strategies to promote overall well-being.

5. Clinical Procedures: Administer or supervise the administration of integrative treatments and therapies as part of patient care.

6. Continuing Education: Stay abreast of the latest research and developments in integrative medicine and incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care.

7. Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, addressing their concerns, explaining treatment options, and promoting active participation in their healthcare decisions. Effectively communicate with the rest of the patient’s care team to ensure patient-centered care.

8. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting patient assessments, treatment plans, outcomes, and charges.

Qualifications:

1. Medical Degree: Holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. PharmD, or Naturopath

2. Specialized Training: Completed additional training or residency in integrative medicine, complementary therapies, or a related field.

3. Certification: Certification in Integrative Medicine or a relevant specialty is preferred.

4. Licensure: Must be licensed to practice medicine in Texas.

5. Experience: Previous experience in integrative medicine or a related field is required.

6. Holistic Approach: Demonstrates a commitment to a holistic approach to patient care, considering physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of health.

7. Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate with a diverse healthcare team.

8. Adaptability: Openness to incorporating evidence-based alternative therapies and adapting to evolving healthcare practices.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
