About the Role

The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Casualty Claims to lead a large and complex claims organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic direction of the casualty claims department, ensuring efficient and effective claims handling, and maintaining the highest standards of customer service and business support. This role involves managing a team that handles a wide range of casualty claims across various product lines, coverages, industries, and risk types. The Managing Director will also be tasked with driving strategic initiatives to optimize claims processes, nurturing strong relationships with internal stakeholders, and staying abreast of industry trends to inform underwriting risk management strategies.Candidates for this position at The Company should have a minimum of 12 years of insurance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the claims sector. An excellent understanding of casualty insurance products, underwriting, and actuarial functions is essential. The role requires a leader with a proven track record of managing large teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and making data-driven decisions. Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills are a must, as is the ability to build and maintain strong business relationships. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required, with a preference for candidates holding a law degree, advanced degree, or focused technical degree, and industry designations such as CPCU.
