About the Role

The Company is seeking a Managing Director, Financial Controller to join their team. The successful candidate will be a key leader in managing the firm's accounting and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory requirements, and minimizing financial risk. This role requires an individual with a strong background in the financial services industry, particularly in a controller capacity, and a proven track record of managing day-to-day financial operations, risk management, and internal controls. The Financial Controller will also be responsible for driving the period-end close processes, preparing financial statements, and coordinating all financial regulatory reporting.Applicants must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in accounting and finance, with a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (CPA or MBA preferred). The role demands an individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong service orientation, and the ability to partner with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of technical accounting and financial reporting requirements and proficiency in transforming and streamlining accounting operations. Strategic development and implementation of accounting and financial reporting processes, as well as the ability to identify and execute opportunities for process improvements, are also key aspects of the position. The Financial Controller will be expected to lead a high-performing accounting team and act as a liaison with the external audit function.
