Summary

The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing the marketing communications strategy for global marketing activities to support business growth and the achievement of short and long-term revenue and profit goals. This position is responsible for ensuring brand awareness, communication of the company’s and product value proposition, implementing communications strategies, and the evaluation of Industry/customer trends. This position Is accountable for driving effective content and communications to support top line growth. This position reports to the SVP Marketing / Marketing Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

Marketing Communications Strategy

  • collaboration with marketing and sales leaders, develop the Marketing Communications strategy for the company, including its relation to its parent company and collaborative partners, to position the company for growth and a differentiated market position.
  • and execute the marketing communications budget.
  • competitor marketing communications activities to develop tactics for addressing direct and/or indirect competition.
  • strategy and tactics to facilitate marketing generated sales though lead generation. Track, compile, and report metrics.
  • expertise in the security seals market, new trends, and industry dynamics to ensure communications tactics are best-in-class. Stay abreast of industry and competitor news as well as evolving marcom trends and tactics.

Brand Management

  • with Sales and Marketing to strengthen brand awareness in the marketplace. Provide inputs into the brand strategy. Align the company brand with its value proposition.
  • maintain, and communicate the company’s brand standards, including presentation templates and branded promotional items. Champion the standards in the organization.
  • maintain, and report metrics and KPIs to ensure a successful strategy.

Content Marketing

  • and produce marketing content deliverables, including webpages, blog posts, video content, social media posts, marketing emails, digital and print ad copy, tradeshow booth copy/content, presentations, contributed articles, podcasts, press releases, talking points, scripts and speeches, etc.
  • marketing collateral and materials to support product launches.
  • the company’s website, ensuring effectiveness to support global regions.
  • with in-house creative and production as well as external vendors to execute deliverables that meet business needs while advancing the company brand and upholding high productions standards.
  • and maintain key messages and thought leadership to elevate the company’s marketing and brand strategy.
  • internal and external communication and messaging, with regular communications frequency and content.
  • parent company communications and marketing activities and deliverables as needed.

Event Planning and Management

  • the strategy for industry, customer and internal conferences and workshops and lead the execution, ensuring events are aligned with the overall company strategy.
  • as the company’s point of contact for industry conferences and associations.
  • lead, and manage the execution for virtual events, including webinars.
  • and maintain master calendar of business events and activations as well as customer and industry activities and milestones.

Systems, Metrics, and Reporting

  • and use marketing communications systems and tools, including social media channels, Hootsuite, Adobe, WordPress, and Mailchimp.
  • monitor, and compile KPIs and metrics to assess effectiveness of marketing communications activities; conduct customer surveys. Communicate results across the organization.

Job Requirements

  • and expertise in global B2B communications including executing across traditional and digital channels.
  • with various marketing technology platforms including Hootsuite, Wordpress, Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Target, Mailchimp, or other marketing communications related technology.
  • in written and verbal communications, including the ability to write across both traditional and digital channels; engaging copywriting, composition, grammar, and tone are all crucial components of this role.
  • understanding of market activation landscape including new and emerging trends or tools
  • collaboration skills. Experience leading through influence rather than formal authority in leading teams to achieving business objectives.
  • communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • to critically reason and apply creativity to projects to deliver best-in-class strategy and execution on often-limited budgets.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in communications, journalism, marketing, business, or related field.
  • At least 8 years’ experience in marketing communications, communications, or related field.

Strong pluses (desired but not required)

Experience in a manufacturing, industrial or logistics industry experience preferred.

Process development and improvement.

Knowledge of digital technologies.
