A Woodinville nursery is seeking a seasoned professional driver for local and out-of-state (Oregon) delivery of plants. Delivery Driver reports to both the General Manager and Owner of the business and is responsible for managing delivery efforts to ensure all logistics are performed accurately for a smooth functioning work environment. This position provides an opportunity for a detail-oriented, self-starting, and organized individual to serve an essential role within the business. The successful applicant will be personable, highly organized, and able to work independently in addition to being part of a team. Start date is immediate.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Maintaining current and up-to-date trip logs and ability to adhere to USDOT Service Regulations- Weekly overnight stays in Oregon for customer’s plant pickup

- Confirming shipment schedules and completed documents with vendors and customers

- Load and unloading 26’ box trucks on loading docks or job sites (vendor, customers and business)

- Following oral and written instructions. Able to take constructive criticism & is team oriented

- To perform mid to heavy manual labor and work outdoors in varying weather conditions

- Daily safety performance for all vehicles; in addition, ensuring all vehicles are in compliance with USDOT, maintenance, and cleaning the exterior and interior of vehicles

- Perform multiple deliveries and pick-ups in a diverse set of working environments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· A valid driver’s license and proof of a clean driver’s abstract is required

· Be able to safely and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs of material and products with the occasion of products weighing 100 lbs

· Physically able to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend over, and/or lift for extended periods of time

· Plant knowledge is preferred but not needed. A background in customer service is a plus

Compensation is between $26-$30 an hour depending on experience. Full medical and dental benefits provided following 2 months of successful employment.
