We are a locally owned Dental Practice looking for an excellent customer service forward Patient Care Coordinator to join our team!

The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for welcoming in patients with a smile and great positive attitude.

Patient Care Coordinator Job Description

The Patient Care Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to provide an excellent patient office experience from phone calls, check-in, and check-out. Ensuring the patient leaves well informed, prepared for their next appointment and thanking them for coming into the office and taking care of their oral health. This includes ensuring the patient understands their treatment plan, the benefits of treatment, insurance benefits, assisting with financial arrangements and coordination of appointments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Schedule patient treatment appointments properly within scheduling rules/templates; reschedule patients that miss their appointment and call patients that have not completed treatment.
  • Look ahead in the schedule for the week and offer patients appointments for the week.
  • Prepare and present treatment plan and financial estimates to patients for all prescribed treatment.
  • Collect copays upon check out, signed treatment plans, consents and provide patients with procedural sequence, expectation and post procedure/post operative instructions.
  • Facilitated post procedure follow ups with patients
  • Receive patient feedback; always thrive to improve patients experience in the office
  • Manage the Doctor and hygiene schedules to achieve utilization goals through efficient use of appointment time.
  • Work with clinical team to effectively manage daily patient flow, providing communication and information to the appropriate individuals.
  • Assist patient with financial arrangements.
  • Complete pre-authorizations.
  • Handle all treatment paperwork including consent forms, policy forms and exit paperwork.
  • Effectively communicate and develop a strong working relationship with the Doctor and promote teamwork through cooperative and professional behaviors.
  • Answer incoming calls and return missed calls from patients by the end of the day
  • Adhere to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPAA laws and guidelines with regards to patient’s records.
  • Follow and demonstrate commitment to the practice policies, professional expectations and Service Excellence Standards.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education

High School Diploma or GED required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Focus on customer service.

Ability to communicate with others in a professional manner. Attention to detail.

Organized, respectful team player.

Proficient in basic computer applications with the ability to learn new software.

Demonstrate ability to perform basic arithmetic to understand general ledger and insurance benefits.

Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear, type and see.

Experience
·Minimum 1 year of experience in an administrative or customer service role.
·Positive attitude, excellent customer service skills
·Ability to multi-task and work independently.
·Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
