About the Role

The Company is seeking a Regional Medical Group President to lead the integration and management of a new, multi-specialty employed medical group. This role involves creating a unified and coordinated structure by merging separate medical groups within the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for clinical, operational, strategic, and cultural integration, with a focus on expanding high-quality and coordinated care across the region. The position requires a significant amount of administrative work, approximately 80-85%, and the ideal candidate will have an MD or DO degree, with an MBA, MHA, or equivalent degree preferred. They should be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Michigan, board-certified in a clinical specialty, and have a minimum of 7-10 years of management experience in leading large multi-specialty medical groups.Key responsibilities for the Regional Medical Group President include developing and implementing a strategy for clinical service development, fostering strong relationships with clinical and administrative leadership, and supporting the organization's mission of providing world-class care. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in process and performance improvement, experience with value-based care models, and the ability to lead during system transformation. Integration experience, particularly in a complex, matrixed health system environment, is strongly preferred. The role also requires a leader who can promote integration and alignment, working with physicians and the organization in a respectful and interdependent manner. Experience in a community/academic health system environment and a deep understanding of the differences between academic faculty and community providers are essential.
