About the Role

The Company is seeking a Regional Director of Donor Relations, also known as a Major Gifts Officer, to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of qualified major donors and prospects, including individuals, churches, and corporations. This role involves the full spectrum of donor relations, from research and qualification to cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. The Regional Director will be expected to create and execute personalized business plans to meet revenue targets, as well as to travel, both domestically and internationally, to engage with donors. Additionally, the role requires the ability to work with the Development team to contribute to overall fundraising strategies and to ensure that donor records are accurately maintained.Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with at least 5 years in a nonprofit fundraising role, and a proven track record of closing significant gifts. Proficiency in CRM donor databases, particularly Salesforce, is essential. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities, and the emotional intelligence to inspire and engage donors. A passion for the mission of the organization, knowledge of fundraising best practices, and the ability to work with a high level of integrity and in adherence to the organization's values are also required.
