Job description

Local small business is looking for a customer-oriented service representative to act as a liaison, provide product/services information and resolve any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency. Administrative tasks such as CRM updating, filing and order entry are included in this role. To be successful, this person will be able to multi-task, have good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to take care of customers and support the sales and marketing teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop a working knowledge of products and food service systems in correction agencies and healthcare organizations
• Manage incoming calls in professional & courteous manner
• Transition sales lead to sales team
• Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication
• Administrative tasks- filing, order entry, etc
• Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents
• Organized to follow up on leads and customer problem resolution
• Take the extra mile to engage customers
• Assist with administrative outbound marketing efforts
• Research and submit local, state, and federal government bids across the United States
• Register and organize tradeshows within managed territories
• Work with leadership and sales team to implement processes and strategies
• Participate in quarterly sales meetings

Skills

• Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative
• Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
• Familiarity with CRM systems and practices
• Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of personalities
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
• Team player attitude, willing to help where needed
• High school diploma

Additional Skills, a bonus:

• Familiar with government bids and contracts
• Purchasing experience
• Graphic Design basics

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000-$45,000

Expected hours: 36 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
• Some out of state travel may be required

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
