About the Role

The Company is seeking a Remote SALT Tax Director to lead a team of tax professionals in the preparation, review, and filing of state and local taxes. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the tax department operations, providing guidance on complex tax matters, and ensuring compliance with state and local regulations. This role requires a CPA with a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, and at least 10 years of experience with a strong focus on state income taxes, SALT, franchise taxes, and related regulations. The Remote SALT Tax Director will also be involved in supervising a team of remote tax professionals, analyzing tax regulations, reviewing and filing tax returns, and assisting in tax audits.Applicants for the Remote SALT Tax Director position at the company should possess excellent problem-solving and project management skills, as well as strong organizational and interpersonal abilities. The role involves identifying areas for potential tax savings and developing strategies to reduce tax liabilities. Knowledge of partnerships, 1040, and S-Corp is a plus.
