About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Counsel for its Digital First Banking division. The successful candidate will be a key member of a dynamic legal team, providing expert advice on a range of fintech, financial services, and compliance legal issues within the digital banking space. This includes offering legal evaluations on financial services regulatory compliance, data security, and privacy, as well as negotiating and reviewing cloud, services, licensing, and related agreements. The role involves working closely with business clients, contract managers, and various internal teams to support the company's digital banking products and services.Applicants must be a graduate of a well-regarded law school with a minimum of 5 years' licensed legal experience, preferably with a focus on commercial transactions, technology, and data privacy law in the financial services sector. The position requires a deep understanding of technology contract laws, privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, and financial industry regulatory laws including GLBA, BSA, AML, and KYC. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively under pressure and with minimal supervision. The role may also involve some domestic and international travel. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, capable of balancing business objectives with legal risk, and will be committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.
