About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Counsel with a focus on litigation to join its legal department. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of legal matters, including but not limited to, partnering with the company's operating entities to manage claims and lawsuits, reviewing and negotiating contracts, and collaborating to identify and prevent potential legal issues. This hands-on role requires a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school, a license to practice law, and at least three years of experience in construction law or general litigation. The Senior Counsel will also be expected to manage relationships with external legal advisors, control costs, and ensure that the company's legal practices align with the best-in-class standards.Applicants for the Senior Counsel position at the company should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision. The role demands a high level of personal accountability, the ability to make sound legal decisions, and a history of formulating creative solutions to commercial problems.
