About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Counsel with a focus on privacy and commercial legal matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic and practical legal advice on a wide range of issues, with a primary emphasis on privacy, data security, and commercial transactions. This role involves serving as the key legal partner to business leaders, advising on risk mitigation, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, particularly in the healthcare industry. The Senior Counsel will also be involved in the negotiation and management of commercial agreements, as well as the design and delivery of training on privacy and healthcare regulations.Applicants should have a Juris Doctorate degree and be licensed to practice law, with a minimum of 4 years' of experience in privacy and data security and commercial legal matters. A background in a large law firm is strongly preferred, and experience in the healthcare industry is a significant advantage. The role requires in-depth knowledge of US privacy and data security laws, including HIPAA, and familiarity with healthcare regulations such as Stark and Anti-Kickback. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling commercial transactions, drafting and negotiating a variety of agreements, and providing practical guidance on legal requirements. Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
