About the Role

The Company is in search of a Senior Counsel for Transactions with a focus on M&A. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the legal team, working closely with the Strategy and Development team and local operating companies to manage all aspects of complex transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and equity investments. The Senior Counsel will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of contracts, serving as a legal advisor on M&A matters, and ensuring that the legal aspects of transactions are in line with the company's strategic objectives. The role also involves collaborating with various functional groups, so the candidate should be adept at developing collaborative relationships. This hands-on role requires a Juris Doctorate degree, a state bar license, and a minimum of 3 years' of practical experience in transactional law, with a strong preference for those who have also handled real estate transactions. Applicants must demonstrate a proven track record in negotiating and advising on high-value, high-risk matters, as well as the ability to balance business objectives with legal risks. Strong organizational, process management, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a proactive, results-oriented approach, be highly ethical, and able to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information. Experience in commercial matters, supply agreements, and a good understanding of antitrust compliance in the context of construction businesses are a plus.
