About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Head of Translational Medicine, Oncology to serve as a key scientific leader and lead a global team of over 110 translational scientists. The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing research discoveries into novel cancer therapies, developing biomarkers to support clinical trials, and deriving new research directions from patient samples and data. This role involves overseeing the development and execution of innovative biomarker strategies across a rich pipeline of investigational cancer therapeutics, as well as foundational and disease-oriented translational research to maximize scientific and clinical impact.Applicants must have a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. in biology, molecular biology, or related fields, with at least 15 years of experience in a science-based organization leading significant oncology biomarker and diagnostic efforts. A strong background in cancer biology, cancer genetics, and immunology is required. The role demands a strategic thought leader with proven leadership capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships both within and outside the organization. The VP will be accountable for the scientific impact of the Translational Medicine Oncology portfolio, influencing corporate decisions, and maintaining strong external partnerships as a scientific thought leader in the field of oncology translational research. Responsibilities also include developing internal talent, creating an inclusive scientific environment, and prioritizing resources to ensure optimal delivery of initiatives.
