The Engineering Project Manager will lead and manage engineering projects by coordinating with engineering teams, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role includes planning, executing, monitoring, and closing projects, as well as managing project risks and issues.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Initiation:

• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Identify project stakeholders and establish communication plans.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.

Project Execution:

• Coordinate and lead engineering teams to ensure project milestones are met.
• Allocate resources effectively and manage project budgets.
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
• Ensure all engineering projects comply with industry standards and regulations.

Project Monitoring and Control:

• Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
• Identify and manage project risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.

Project Closing:

• Ensure project deliverables are complete and meet quality standards.
• Conduct project evaluations and assess results.
• Document project learnings and share knowledge within the organization.
• Facilitate post-project review and ensure proper project closure.

Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or a related field. A relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
• Experience: Proven experience as an engineering project manager or similar role. Experience managing projects through the full lifecycle.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of engineering principles and project management methodologies. Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera).
• Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead and motivate engineering teams.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
