About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President (SVP) Credit Officer for the Consumer Products and Retail industry. The successful candidate will be part of the Commercial Lending Management (CLM) team, which is integral to the end-to-end lending process, including credit underwriting, due diligence, structuring, and portfolio monitoring. This role requires a dynamic and motivated credit professional with a deep understanding of commercial and cross-border lending, particularly in the consumer products and retail sector. The SVP Credit Officer will be responsible for managing a material amount of credit risk, providing sector insights, and leading credit-specific risk assessments. Key responsibilities for the SVP Credit Officer include facilitating the lending process for the assigned industry vertical, ensuring compliance with credit policies, and working in partnership with Relationship Managers to meet the firm's and client's business objectives. The role demands extensive industry expertise, a strong credit sense, and the ability to make sound credit decisions in a timely and transparent manner. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' of experience in credit underwriting, portfolio, and/or risk management within a large multinational financial services organization, and a proven track record of mentoring and developing junior staff. A Bachelor's degree is required, with advanced degrees and certifications considered advantageous.
