About the Role

The Company is seeking a seasoned executive for the role of SVP, Digital Engineering - Optum Consumer, to lead a high-performing, multi-disciplinary global engineering team of over 700 engineers. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the digital technology strategy for end-to-end omni-channel digital experiences, formulating and leading digital product development strategies, and driving integration of online and mobile experiences through personalization. The role requires a leader with a track record of driving multiple digital transformations, creating new business cases, and leading a digital transformation for a leading consumer brand. The candidate should have at least 15 years of progressive product engineering leadership experience, with a minimum of 10 years leading direct-to-consumer digital engineering teams.Candidates must have a background in creating new businesses, go-to-market digital channels, and influencing consumer digital strategy with senior leadership. They should also have experience with modern software engineering technologies and practices, including public cloud, micro-services, CI/CD, and DevSecOps. The role demands a leader who can create a data-driven culture, reimagine experiences through technology, and stay current on technology trends. Preferred qualifications include experience in the Retail industry and a history of applying product and engineering practices to drive business value. The position requires a strategic thinker who can lead through and develop other leaders, and who has a demonstrated history of success in applying design thinking principles to create amazing consumer experiences.
