About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President of Ambulatory Operations to join their dynamic and mission-driven team. This executive will be responsible for the operations, administration, evaluation, and ongoing development of significant clinical and support functions within the East Market. This includes overseeing the departments of medical specialties, primary care, behavioral health, oncology services, and elder/palliative/hospice care, which collectively support a large network of physicians, providers, and employees across 38 ambulatory clinics. The role demands a leader with a proven track record in a matrixed health system environment, particularly in rural and geographically dispersed settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background, experience in process improvement methodology, and a successful history of driving innovation and change while fostering a culture of collaboration and exceptional results.The successful candidate for the SVP, Ambulatory Operations role at the company will possess an undergraduate and master's degree or advanced degree in a related field, such as MBA or MHA, and a minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience. Experience in a union environment is preferred. The role requires a leader who can work effectively with clinicians, operators, and all levels of leadership to ensure the application and sustainability of the company's experience. Proven abilities in process improvement methodology, such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar, as well as success in utilizing technology to improve clinical operations and efficiency, are essential. The candidate should have a history of valuing diversity and inclusion and the ability to understand and engage with diverse communities. Strong communication skills, the ability to inspire teams, and a commitment to the values of quality, hospitality, respect, joy, justice, stewardship, and teamwork are also key attributes for this executive position.
