About the Role

The Company is seeking an SVP of Development to lead its dynamic project development team in the renewable energy sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the alignment of project development activities with the company's strategy and goals, overseeing all phases of greenfield project development, and leading the team in day-to-day operations, including prospecting, land outreach, and permitting. This role requires a minimum of 15 years of experience, with at least 6 years in project development within the renewable energy industry, and a comprehensive knowledge of the development process. The SVP will also be involved in strategic planning, business development, and will represent the company in public and executive-level meetings.Applicants for the SVP of Development position at the company must have a proven track record in leading and developing high-performing teams, as well as strong skills in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and strategic decision-making. The role demands an individual with the ability to optimize processes, cultivate relationships with partners, and adapt to the growth and changes in the industry. The SVP will be the key liaison with partners, set and control budgets, and ensure that the team's objectives are in line with the company's strategic goals. Experience in all aspects of the project life cycle, from land acquisition to development studies, and the ability to prepare detailed reports for executive and board-level audiences are essential.
